Awarded by the Committee to the "club person of the year". This trophy can usually only be won once and is based on a range of criteria e.g. contribution to the club, exceptional performance, lifetime achievement etc. This is presented at the club end of season dinner and awards night.
The trophy was first awarded in 1973 to commemorate Phillip Chelson, who was 3rd XI captain at the time of his passing.
Current Holder
The Phillip Chelson Trophy for 2024 was awarded to Tom Campbell.
Tom came through the junior section of the club before making his senior debut in 2011 aged 16. He became a mainstay of the 4th XI and a committed Bucks tourist, helping to drive the club both on and off the pitch. In 2022 Tom took on the 4th XI captaincy, winning the Fuller Cup. In 2023 he moved up to the 3rd XI captaincy, achieving the same result. In 2024 Tom again moved up, taking on the 2nd XI captaincy and holding the side together in a very tough year. Wherever he has played, Tom has fostered a welcoming environment for all players and is the sort of character that every club needs.
