The 2nd XI joined the Surrey Cricketers 2nd XI League for it's inaugural season in 1972, through to it's last in 1986.
For 1987 agreement was reached for the Surrey Cricketers League to merge with the Surrey Championship. We remained in the Championship through to 2023, when facility challenges meant we joined the Surrey County League instead for 2024.
In 2025 several of the Surrey leagues merged to form the Surrey Cricket Championship.
Our highest ever finish in the pyramid is 7th in Old Division 1 in 1994, which was the top 2nd XI division in Surrey at the time.
At the end of 1999 it was announced that the league was to be reorganised into 10 team divisions. BOECC qualified for the first season of the new Division 1 (the second tier, below the new Premier League) in 2000.
