Senior Cricket Last Week (22 - 28 July):
- 1st XI lost vs Wandgas by 121 runs (scorecard here) in Surrey County League 1st XI Division 2 (table here). A ridiculous eleven dropped catches meant Wandgas racked up 230/7 despite a decent bowling performance. Debarshi Roy (30) batted well but when he departed the chase fell apart to a disappointing 109 all out.
- 2nd XI won vs Sheen Park by 1 wicket (scorecard here) in Surrey County League 2nd XI Division 1 (table here). Samuel Chadwick (3/27) was the pick of the bowlers in keeping the opposition to 173/9. Umair Ansari (46) and Saif Sajid (45) set a solid base, but losing three wickets for no runs with the score on 77 seemed likely to see a familiar collapse occurring. Mahad Khan (55 not out) had other ideas, but at 151/9 and with 25 runs still needed victory seemed unlikely. Khan combined with young Will Saich to see Bank over the line with an over to spare for a remarkable first victory of the season.
- 3rd XI lost vs Hampton Hill by 7 runs (scorecard here) in Surrey Championship 3rd XI Division 6 Central (table here). A 9th wicket partnership of 62 helped the opposition reach 144/8from 40 overs, with Rafa Jackson-Garcia (4/25) impressive for the Bank. Captain John Jackson followed his son's lead with a fantastic 70, and at 130/6 Bank looked poised to claim just a second victory of the season. Alas, it wasn't to be as wickets tumbled and Bank fell to defeat at 137 all out.
- 4th XI lost vs Surrey Titans by 40 runs (scorecard here). Ed Fresson (4/9) stepped in at late notice and kept the opposition to 154 all out. Tom Campbell (24) top scored but the chase ran out of puff at 114 all out.
- Sunday XI drew vs Outwood (scorecard here). Samuel Chadwick (3/29) was the pick of the bowlers as Outwood scored 196/9. Bank came up just short on 182/7 despite a blistering 55 not out from Arin Gramopadhye.
- Midweek XI won vs DEFRA All Stars by 7 runs (scorecard here) in the semi final of the Public Services T20 Tournament, but lost to HMT by 14 runs in the final (scorecard here).
