Is there anything more fun than going on tour? We're not sure there is, which is why BOECC organise a trip to Buckinghamshire over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Bucks Tour (Amersham)

The Bucks tour has been ongoing since 1986 over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Set over four days this trip is full of laughs, surprises and fancy dress - oh and there's some cricket played too. Accommodation for the trip is usually provided at the Saracen's Head in Amersham.

Exact dates and details can be found in the events calendar, but the normal tour set up is:

  • Saturday - golf competition at Wycombe Heights Golf Club.
  • Sunday - match vs Hyde Heath CC. The fixture has been ongoing since 2004 and is played for the Brian Hartley Trophy (a longstanding member of both clubs).
  • Monday - match vs Little Missenden CC. The fixture has been running since 1988 and perfectly encapsulates what village cricket is all about.
  • Tuesday - match vs Ley Hill CC. The fixture started in 2020 and is set at a delightfully quirky ground with the nearby road making for some interesting local rules.

For further information please contact tour organisers Richard Kendall, John Kendall or Simon Eddolls.
